Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for steel procurement to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Manage purchase orders to match job schedule
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with steel suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools and optimize inventory management.
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular vendor management activities, including audits, performance reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Oversee logistics coordination to ensure efficient transportation, delivery schedules, and inventory control.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of steel and steel material is a MUST
- Expertise in sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management specific to steel or raw materials.
- Familiarity with inventory management techniques, including inventory control and supply chain optimization.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a strategic mindset to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
