Handling Systems & Conveyors, Inc. (HSC) is a custom conveyor and crane fabrication shop. HSC is searching for an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join our team and contribute to the company’s growth and success. In this role, the laser operator will be responsible for operating the laser cutting table to produce mass quantities or singular specialized pieces, adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. Pay rate based on skills and experience.
CNC Laser Operator
1) Basic Function
- The function of the CNC Laser Operator is to operate the laser cutting table to produce mass quantiles or singular specialized pieces.
- Must be able to lift 80
- Must be able to work in non-climate controlled
- Required to operate heavy machinery (P.I.T, overhead crane, scissor lift and aerial lifts)
2) Reporting Relationships
- The CNC Laser Operator reports directly to the Fabrication Shop Manager
- From time to time, other department heads may request to add additional responsibilities; at all times the CNC Laser Operator is to be responsive to those requests.
3) Responsibilities / Duties
- Operate the laser cutting table and other machinery used in the production
- Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Monitor fill level of bulk tank system and report reordering levels to the Fabrication shop manager.
- Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Keep area clean and organized
- Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Follow all safety policies
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually or using a hoist.
4) Measures of Performance
- Cut list is finished daily
- Parts cut are to print
- Edges of the cut piece are deburred and clean
- Machine and tools are maintained daily
- Housekeeping is performed daily
- All maintenance is performed as recommended by the manufacturer. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annually, and annual inspections and maintenance.
