Ice Cream Server/Cashier - Day Shift

All interested candidates must be available to work days (M-F) 11am-5pm.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings with precision and flair, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Operate POS our system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and upselling additional treats or beverages to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning scoops, utensils, counters, and seating areas to uphold sanitation standards.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy, giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as topping station setup or basic food handling to support smooth operations during busy hours.
• Support team members by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the café or retail space.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience in customer service roles that involve serving customers in a fast-paced setting enhances your ability to succeed in this position.
• Previous restaurant or café experience is advantageous but not mandatory—training will be provided to ensure your success! Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
