What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/ Fabricator/ Field Installer position at HandCrafted Metals, Inc.?
We are a custom metal fabrication shop and are currently looking for an experienced Shop/Field Installer for our San Carlos, CA location to help deliver quality and upscale products to our customers and add success to each project.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Proficient in Welding – TIG, MIG, Flux Core in a variety of positions and materials (especially: bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, and copper)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with shop tools/machines (drill press, bandsaws, belt sanders, iron workers, Oxy-Acetylene torch, mill, hand tools etc.)
- Read and interpret shop drawings and welding symbols
- Use various measurement tools to validate your work
- Provide feedback to management on design and process improvement
- Problem solving
- Work as a team by openly collaborating with fellow team members
- Proactively communicate with management and other team members through verbal, email, text, & phone
- Maintain shop equipment as required
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Forklift experience
- Valid Drivers License and Clean Record
- Must speak, read, write, English
