Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math activities, and social-emotional development.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills through effective behavior management techniques.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including Montessori or other specialized approaches like toddler care or preschool curricula.
- Help prepare educational materials and classroom setups that stimulate creativity and learning through lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to share progress, address concerns, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
- Experience in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Familiarity with special education strategies or working with children with disabilities is advantageous.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math basics for early learners, and curriculum development practices.
- Previous exposure to Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches such as toddler care or private school environments is a plus.
