Position Overview
The Program Director is responsible for the daily oversight, supervision, and operational integrity of multiple DDD residential homes. This role requires hands on leadership, regular site visits, staff development, crisis management, and ensuring compliance with DDD, AHCCCS, and agency standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, proactive, and able to confidently lead teams in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of multiple residential group homes
- Conduct weekly site visits to ensure quality care and compliance
- Supervise and support Lead Staff and Direct Care Workers
- Monitor documentation and operational standards
- Ensure homes meet licensing and safety requirements
- Manage staffing schedules and emergency coverage
- Respond to crises, behavioral emergencies, and urgent staffing needs
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff members
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders and team members
- Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in DDD or behavioral health
- Minimum 1 year leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Knowledge of DDD, AHCCCS, and DES regulations preferred
Required Certifications
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Article 9 Certification
- Prevention and Support Certification
Work Environment
This is a field based leadership position requiring weekly visits to all assigned homes and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency on call situations.
