This position is microschool based. You would create your own schedule. This clinic also provides ABA services. You will work closely with BCBAs and RBTs to ensure each client receives the best care plan.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing challenges in pediatric patients.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, focusing on improving communication skills and swallowing functions.
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques suited for early intervention and school-aged children.
- Collaborate closely with educators, caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal therapy outcomes.
- Monitor progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness and patient engagement.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and patient records in compliance with clinical standards.
- Educate families on therapy goals, home exercises, and strategies to support continued progress outside of sessions.
Skills
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations in school or clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques specific to pediatrics and early intervention programs.
- Familiarity with physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using medical terminology and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating families effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology practices.
