FULL TIME: This position is 1st shift.
REPORTS TO: Shop Foreman
GENERAL SUMMARY: Hancock Structural Steel, LLC is seeking a painter/laborer who helps preparing surfaces, mix paints for different needs, and apply them with brushes, rollers or sprays to fill in cracks or apply color on steel and other objects. Good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
- Reading blueprints/instructions to determine work necessary
- Painting of structural steel or metals
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Delivering materials
- Assisting steel fabricators
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a good driving record
- Great attention to detail
- Highschool education (or equivalent) preferred
