Position Summary:
This position provides leadership, coaching, and support to employees under their management while ensuring all essential departmental duties are completed.
Position Details:
- Coordinate work entering the department(s).
- Maintain quality of the department(s) at an acceptable level.
- Monitor production in the department(s) and push to achieve the goal.
- Responsible for having good working relationship between employees and supervision.
- Responsible for keeping old schedules and rush items moving through the department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department.
- Responsible for proper upkeep of equipment in the department.
- Responsible for safety requirements in the department..
- Ensure proper training of new employees.
- Set a good work standard and positive example for employees to follow. Perform duties in a courteous and professional manner.
- Aid in keeping employees informed of changes and events in the department and in the company.
- Maintain attendance records in HRIS system.
- Work closely with the HR department regarding personnel issues..
- Administer and document disciplinary actions for attendance, quality, and matters of personal conduct.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
- Work safely at all times and wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the Manager/Supervisor.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Leadership experience in manufacturing a plus
