Summary Job Description
This position is responsible for using appropriate tools to sand furniture.
Essential Duties
- Will be required to read production tickets on the pieces of furniture being sanded
- Manually sands wood furniture and frames using various jigs and tools developed for sanding
- Repairs minor defects in the wood using appropriate tools and materials
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous sanding experience a plus

- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- While standing, position will require bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting
- Must be able to work in noisy environments
- Must be able to work in dusty environments
- Must have manual dexterity in order to operate tools as directed
- Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
