Position Summary:
Position is responsible for applying finishing materials to hides and upholstered leather furniture to achieve designated antique and/or decorative finishes.
Position Details:
- Responsible for ensuring that work is performed in a consistent manner and that results in defect-free products
- Reads and understands work orders
- Masks off certain areas on pieces before applying finishing materials
- Inspects product for quality
Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous burnishing experience preferred
- Must have an eye for color and an ability to attain the desired look for hide/item
- May be required to work at other locations occasionally
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking throughout 9 hour shift
- Using arms and hand to apply material; rubbing hides
- Works with a variety of finishing materials
- Lifts hides onto tables; up to 50 lbs.
