REPORTS TO: Loan Operations Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is a support role within HFCU’s Member Business Loan (MBL) and Mortgage Real Estate lending areas. A key driver of success for this position is providing excellent member service. Knowledge of the loan closing and servicing process, attention to detail and being self-reliant are essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Oversee the final stages of the loan, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and policy gudielines.
- Generate closing documents for all real estate loan types and MBL non real estate loans.
- Make closing arrangements and work with title agencies in the delivery of closing packages for Mortgages, Home Equities and MBL real estate loans.
- Set up all real estate and business loan types in the Core or Mortgage Servicing system in a timely manner.
- Disburse loan proceeds.
- Perform post-closing duties at the direction of the Loan Operations Manager including but not limited to: UCC filings, liens on titles, final real estate titles and recorded mortgages.
- Input loans to investor website, preparing and delivering initial documents to investor and tracking of final documents to investor.
- Assist the Loan Operations Manager in performing file maintenance and operational duties. Including modifications, loan extensions, account and address changes, posting payments, paying escrow, completing escrow analysis on loans with escrow, etc.
- Complete servicing functions assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to loan payoffs, satisfactions of mortgage, subordination agreements, lien and UCC releases, adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) interest rate changes and notifications, and tracking of flood insurance coverage.
- Assist the Loan Operations Manager with month end duties such as remittance reports, loan servicing reports, investor reporting, credit bureau reporting, ARM adjustments and disclosures.
- Be cross trained in loan processing.
- Track Flood and Hazzard Insurance renewals.
- Track required annual financials for business members.
- Maintain approved appraiser list.
- Responsible for complying with all credit union policies and procedures, including RESPA, TILA, BSA, AML, OFAC.
- Assist with audits and exams.
- Respond to member inquiries per HFCU service standards.
- Any and all other duties assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training in finance or business administration preferred.
Experience:
Experience in loan operations, loan servicing, banking, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in loan processing software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other relevant software.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $21.50 - $24.00 per hour
