LOAN INTERVIEWER

POSITION SUMMARY

Hancock County Savings Bank is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Loan Interviewer. This is a Professional Full Time Position with a full Benefit package including Health, Dental, and Vision. It includes paid Holidays and a generous PTO package. Monday through Saturday Schedule with Hours varying. Successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills.

The General Duties of the position includes but is not limited to, originating new mortgage loan and consumer loan applications accurately, efficiently and expediently while providing excellent customer service. Preparing the potential or existing customer for what they can expect, during and after the application, will establish a mutual understanding and minimize any problems during the loan process. Mortgage lending experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Respond to customer inquiries (in person / telephone)

· Identify customer’s financial needs

· Identify Bank loan products that will meet the customer’s financial needs

· Perform basic underwriting

· Discuss loan process (applications, processing, approval, closing)

· Advise customer of required documentation required at the time of application and appropriate application fee to be paid

· Schedule appointment for loan application

· Originate new loan applications

· Develop realtor relationships

· Perform other duties that may be assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Professional Experience (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

· 2 years Lending/ Mortgage Experience

· Knowledge of Lending practices, terms, and pertinent regulations

· Must be able to file, type, use a computer, use an adding machine and have basic math skills.

· Must operate basic office machines.

· Must have excellent telephone skills.

· Must be able to perform basic clerical duties.

· Must have good oral and written communication skills.

Education: High school Diploma or equivalent

In addition to the typical requirements of standing, walking, sitting, bending, talking, hearing, and seeing, the employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
