Job Summary:
The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for driving to and delivering sold/invoiced parts to Wholesale customers, collecting funds, processing returns, and scouting for new clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate with automotive body shop and wholesale facilities daily.
- Picks up and/or delivers parts to designated accounts when instructed by the parts or service departments.
- Ensure areas of the parts department are properly stocked.
- Collect funds from customers.
- Process returns of parts.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors and dusting parts bins daily.
- Scout for new parts buyer clients.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Safely maneuvering a delivery van in all traffic situations.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to perform mild lifting.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills and work ethic.
- Comfortable working outside.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in parts delivery or similar role.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
- Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership
