What are the responsibilities and job description for the Converting Engineer position at Hana?
Position Summary:
Develop, implement and/or improve RFID label conversion processing in a fast-paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial or Mechanical)
- One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
Essential Job Functions:
- Review new product designs for manufacturability
- Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipment
- Work with customers and/or vendors on process transfers
- Program automated label conversion and inspection equipment.
- Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvements
- Research latest technologies in relation to capability improvements
- Train manufacturing personnel on assembly procedures
- Provide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requests
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with laminating, die cutting, and roll to roll processing is a must.
- Experience with basic quality tools
- Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work in a Cleanroom, Class 1000
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior organization and problem-solving skills
