Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Support bussing efforts by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area.
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during peak hours to ensure timely service.
- Participate in banquet setups and breakdowns as required.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while operating kitchen equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and cleaning processes.
- Experience in catering or banquet services is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards is essential.
