Hampton Security Group is seeking professional, dependable, and experienced candidates for the position of Field Security Supervisor in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in security, law enforcement, military service, corrections, public safety, airport security, or field operations who are ready to take on a leadership role.

Position Summary

The Field Security Supervisor will provide direct support to security officers and assigned client locations by conducting post inspections, monitoring officer performance, assisting with shift coverage, responding to operational concerns, and ensuring that each assigned post is operating according to company, client, airport, and site-specific expectations.

This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to lead security personnel with professionalism and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • · Supervise, coach, and support security officers assigned to designated posts, shifts, or client locations
  • · Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Hampton Security Group, client, airport, and site-specific policies
  • · Train employees, assign work, direct daily activity, monitor performance, and support employee accountability
  • · Conduct post inspections and ensure officers are following post orders, site procedures, access control requirements, and emergency protocols
  • · Monitor officer attendance, appearance, conduct, professionalism, and job performance
  • · Assist with shift coverage, call-offs, scheduling support, and operational coordination
  • · Respond to employee concerns, client concerns, complaints, operational issues, and security-related incidents
  • · Assist management with performance documentation, corrective action, and employee accountability
  • · Maintain a professional security environment and protect the reputation of Hampton Security Group and the client
  • · Ensure officers remain knowledgeable of and compliant with all rules, regulations, policies, post orders, and emergency procedures
  • · Complete supervisory logs, inspection reports, incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation
  • · Communicate professionally with company management, clients, officers, site contacts, and emergency personnel when required
  • · Identify performance issues and report concerns to management for corrective action
  • · Maintain a professional appearance and set the standard for officers in the field
  • · Support training, post familiarization, and development of new or existing security personnel

Incident Response Responsibilities

  • · Observe, report, and respond to activities and incidents at assigned client locations
  • · Help provide for the safety and security of client property, employees, visitors, and assigned personnel
  • · Respond to incidents including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, severe weather, access control issues, and other security-related events
  • · Protect evidence and preserve the scene of an incident during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
  • · Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written reports, statements, and incident documentation
  • · Communicate emergency or operational concerns to company management, client representatives, and appropriate emergency personnel as required

Paid Supervisor Onboarding and Certification

Selected candidates will complete a structured supervisor onboarding and certification process designed to ensure success in the role.

The onboarding process includes:

  • · Post familiarization and review of assigned site procedures
  • · Hands-on training at assigned security posts
  • · Review of access control systems, emergency procedures, and reporting expectations
  • · Shadowing with field supervisors and shift leaders
  • · Evaluation of leadership, communication, documentation, professionalism, and decision-making skills
  • · Final supervisor review and certification

Successful completion of the onboarding process may lead to expanded supervisory responsibilities, pay adjustment eligibility, and additional leadership assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • · Must be at least 21 years of age
  • · Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • · Must have a high school diploma
  • · Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly
  • · Must have reliable transportation
  • · Valid driver’s license preferred; may be required depending on assignment
  • · Prior security, law enforcement, military, corrections, public safety, airport security, or operations leadership experience
  • · Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
  • · Strong knowledge of security operations, post orders, incident reporting, and professional conduct
  • · Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and extended hours when required
  • · Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • · Professional appearance and communication skills
  • · Ability to lead, coach, and hold officers accountable
  • · Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and report-writing skills
  • · Ability to prepare written statements, incident reports, and investigations in a clear, logical, and grammatically correct manner
  • · Ability to make sound decisions during incidents or operational challenges
  • · Ability to use a tablet, computer, smartphone, and electronic reporting systems
  • · Ability to pass background screening and drug screening, subject to applicable law, licensing requirements, and client contract standards
  • · Ability to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, municipal, airport, licensing, and client contract requirements

Physical Requirements

With or without reasonable accommodation, candidates must be able to perform the physical and mental requirements of the position, which may include:

  • · Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly
  • · Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
  • · Walking up inclines, climbing stairs, and walking on uneven surfaces
  • · Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • · Frequent lifting or moving up to 10 pounds
  • · Occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • · 3 or more years of security supervisory experience
  • · Experience supervising multiple posts, multiple officers, or field-based security operations
  • · Experience with access control, incident response, post inspections, client-facing operations, or airport/security environments
  • · Former law enforcement, military, corrections, public safety, or command staff experience
  • · Experience completing incident reports, corrective action documentation, investigations, or daily supervisory logs
  • · Experience handling attendance issues, call-offs, officer accountability, and shift coverage
