Job Overview
Join our small localand privately owned clinic with a close knit staff very experienced in patient care and client communication. Our aim is to provide care, compassion, and offer best medicine choices to all our patients. whike we are an urgent care clinic, we do offer routine healthcare to those that can not get into a daytime practice. Our hours are M-F, 4 to 11 pm, although recent staffing shortages have meant some flexible scheduling to accommodate our relief doctors. We are in a great region/ beaches, entertainment venues and open space as well as the city life/ choices are endless

Duties
- Perform thorough examinations and diagnose a variety of urgent veterinary cases across different species, including dogs, cats, and occasionally some small exotics
- Administer emergency treatments such as wound management, and stabilization procedures.
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate findings and treatment plans effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Handle animal restraint safely and humanely during examinations, procedures, and treatments to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
- Conduct laboratory tests, interpret results, and implement appropriate diagnostic procedures to inform clinical decisions
- Perform specialized procedures such as animal catheterization, intravenous access, and minor surgical interventions as needed.
- Maintain detailed medical records following veterinary protocols while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Support pet owners with guidance on pet care, behavior management, and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing animal well-being.
Experience
- Demonstrated animal handling skills across vario on dog handling and pet grooming techniques.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and laboratory procedures relevant to urgent care settings.
- Experience in performing aseptic techniques during invasive procedures to prevent infections.
