What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Breast Sonographer position at Hampton Regional Medical Center?
The selected candidate will perform professional duties of general staff breast sonographer; fixed and portable, routine and emergent, inpatient and outpatient, for the purpose of patient diagnosis on an as needed basis. Performs all examinations per department protocol and physician direction. Responsibilities for complete patient throughput include, but are not limited to, scheduling, procedures, supply inventory, patient transport, documentation, and communication with family, physicians and involved ancillary staff. Participates in departmental quality improvement activities and equipment quality control plans.
Maintains current CPR or BCLS certification. Must be a graduate of a school approved by the American College of Radiology; ARDMS certified or registry eligible; Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Performs in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Hampton Regional Medical Center.
