We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in an assisted living setting. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables after meals.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food items.
- Support cooks and other kitchen staff in various tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth operation of the dietary department.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Engage with residents during meal times to ensure their satisfaction and comfort.
- Participate in training sessions related to food preparation, safety, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service role is preferred,
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others, particularly elderly residents.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail in all tasks.
