Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper manual handling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other shared spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks and industrial cleaning procedures.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling and follow hotel emergency procedures to guarantee a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to hotel housekeeping management standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while observing proper safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning needs, fostering a hospitable atmosphere.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience in hotel emergency procedures and hotel housekeeping management will be advantageous.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards in a hospitality setting.
