What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Hampton Inn & Suites?
*Scheduled days would be Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons.*
The Hampton Inn & Suites requires the talents and skills of a professional and attentive individual. The successful candidate should be outgoing and friendly with a gregarious personality and a natural talent for customer service. We want our guests to feel as though they can get anything they might want or need at the drop of the hat, so as the Front Desk Agent, it would be your responsibility to provide that. We are one of the larger hotels in Paducah yet we provide personalized attention to our guests while displaying genuine southern hospitality.
Responsibilities include:
- Must be able to think on your feet
- Handle difficult situations with a positive attitude
- Must be willing to go out of your way to make the guests' stay a pleasant one
- Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure prompt responses to guests’ needs
- Make reservations for guests in a prompt and efficient time frame
- Answer guest calls and record details of pertinent conversations for future follow-up
- Meet and exceed guests’ expectations by anticipating the services they might require and suggesting local venues instead of chain options
Skills include:
- The ability to multitask effectively
- High school diploma/GED
- Being able to stand on your feet for periods of time
- Experience in the hospitality industry or customer service preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of computers and software such as excel, word and outlook
- Customer Service and people skills are a requirement
Job Type: Part-time
