Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Hotel Housekeeper plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
- Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning as needed
- Handle laundry duties for linens and towels in accordance with hotel standards
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition
- Adhere to hotel policies regarding guest privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as assigned by management
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial work is highly desirable
- Experience with floor care techniques including carpet extraction and polishing is a plus
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is beneficial
- Background in hospitality or housecleaning management can be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
