JOB SUMMARY: Inspects, washes, folds, and stores all laundered supplies for Rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides clean linen for guest rooms.
- Separates linen according to classification, fabric and color.
- Counts all soiled linen and records the totals.
- Operates washers and dryers pursuant to established procedures.
- Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
- Sorts stained linen for soaking and rewashing.
- Folds, stacks, hangs and stores all laundered linen.
- Separates, counts and discards damaged linen.
- Records discarded linen in discard file.
- Cleans dryer filters as scheduled.
- Keeps supplies and storage area orderly at all times.
- Cleans all equipment and work area daily.
- Maintains par stock of laundry and cleaning supplies and informs manager of supplies needed.
- Reports any hazardous conditions or malfunctions of equipment to Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Turns in lost and found items.
- Complete all assign tasks on checklist and complete walkthrough with Manager to ensure all tasks were completed on said employee’s checklist before employee clocks out.
- Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management.
