Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver to join our Hampton team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers to and from designated locations in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and staff. The Shuttle Driver will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for all riders. Hours may very from month to month. Most will occur in two hour blocks in the early morning (6-9am), early after noon (between 4-7pm) and late evening (after 10pm).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate hotel shuttle van, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as handling luggage or other personal items as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shuttle vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules, delays, or any passenger concerns.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by following established safety protocols and procedures during transit.
- Assist with heavy lifting when required, particularly when handling luggage or equipment for passengers.
Experience
- Previous experience in school bus driving, shuttle driving, limousine services, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous for efficient navigation.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with passengers and coordinating with team members.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; additional certifications related to bus or commercial driving are a plus.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks as necessary while maintaining a focus on safety and passenger comfort.
