Job Description

Hampton Inn & Suites is searching for Front Desk Agent-Part Time to work at our beautiful Farmington Property.

• Shift is ***Weekends A.M. or P.M. shifts with opportunity to pick up shifts during the week am or pm for extra hours. The Front Desk Agent-Part Time is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay. This is for a Weekend shift and possibly 2-3 other nights a week.
• ***Must be over 21 years old ( to drive shuttle )

Essential Job Functions:

• Must be reliable and dependable, with excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task and problem solve, with understanding of basic accounting skills
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests; including issuing rooms keys, ensuring that all guests sign a guest registration card and provide a credit card or other method of payment.
• Operate telephone to answer, screen and forward calls, take messages and schedule/change reservations.
• Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Record guest comments/ complaints and refer guest to a manager as necessary.
• Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
• Maintain room key control and supervise guest access to safe deposit boxes.
• Verify bank and deposits each shift and follow all cash handling and credit policies.
• Resolve guest issues quickly, efficiently, courteously and professionally.
• Responsible for the order and cleanliness of the front desk and adjacent work areas.
• Complete front desk communication log daily.
• Ensure all Front Office policies and procedures are consistently applied.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Hotel Front Desk position preferred. We will train the right candidates
• Must be able to work holidays if need be ( holiday pay given)

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including holidays.
• Punctual, dependable, and responsible
• Must be 21 or older

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand extended periods of time
