The newly built Hampton Inn & Suites is seeking an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Agent. This vital role serves as the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming and efficient experience from check-in to check-out.
We have part-time positions available with opportunities for career development within the hospitality industry. We are seeking to cover shifts from primarily 7am-3pm but someone also willing to train for the 3pm-11pm and night audit shifts to gain and understanding of all front desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register guests warmly, ensuring a smooth check-in process including inputting information into the property management system (PMS), confirming rates, and issuing electronic keys.
- Assist guests with check-out, ensuring all charges for rooms and services are accounted for and processing various forms of payment accurately.
- Provide thorough knowledge of hotel amenities, room types, local attractions, and general product knowledge to answer guest questions and inquiries.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and maximize room occupancy.
- Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests accurately.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest needs are met efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work space.
- Light housekeeping and cleaning in the public areas surrounding the front desk and lobby to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent education level.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a "can-do" attitude are crucial.
- Experience: Prior hotel front desk experience is a plus, but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Aptitude: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, multitask under pressure, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Availability: Flexibility in scheduling is available, and availability on weekends and holidays may be required.
- Age Minimum: Must be at least 18 years of age
