Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facility management, ensuring all aspects of building interior maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and general repairs are handled efficiently and effectively. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; utilize hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
  • Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance tasks to repair or upgrade facilities infrastructure.
  • Manage plumbing system maintenance including leak repairs, pipe replacements, and drain cleaning to maintain building hygiene and safety standards.
  • Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated building systems; oversee electrical work including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical equipment repair.
  • Supervise maintenance activities ensuring compliance with safety regulations; coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule tasks, log work orders, track inventory of maintenance supplies, and document completed repairs.
  • Lead small teams or supervise other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and building interior elements through regular upkeep or necessary repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health & safety protocols; respond promptly to emergency repair requests or system failures.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning), plumbing (system maintenance & repair), electrical work & equipment repair.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals; experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Skilled in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), maintenance painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks.
  • Strong understanding of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) practices; experience with CMMS software for work order management.
  • Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills; use electrical testing devices like ohmmeters for troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members or vendors.
  • Supervising experience in a facilities or manufacturing environment is preferred; leadership skills are essential for guiding team efforts effectively.
  • Familiarity with schematics related to building systems; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Customer service orientation to address guest needs professionally during maintenance interactions.
