Duties
- Operate industrial laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Perform quality checks on cleaned items to identify stains or damages that require special attention or dry cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sorting stations and equipment sanitation
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating machinery to ensure a safe work environment
- Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low
- Support general cleaning tasks around the laundry area and assist with other housekeeping duties as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads safely
- Good organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to chemical handling and machinery operation
