Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently and safely.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items including linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing.
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned according to established quality standards and safety protocols.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks when necessary, utilizing appropriate chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing workstations and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and linen stock to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Follow proper handling procedures for delicate fabrics and special care items.
- Assist with general cleaning duties around the facility as needed to uphold hygiene standards.
Experience
- Previous experience with laundry operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Hotel or hospitality industry experience is a plus, especially familiarity with linen management and dry cleaning processes.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards related to laundry services is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
