Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace faulty components through welding, mechanical adjustments, or electrical work to ensure optimal operation.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and implement necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors or team members during complex repairs or projects while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters and working with PLCs.
- Skilled in welding techniques for metal fabrication and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in maintenance projects or teams.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history.
