The Public Area Attendant will keep all public areas and facilities (such as lobby restrooms, elevators, employee break room, the front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and should also able to address guest requests and problems.
What you'll be doing...
- Clean and service assigned areas according to established standards and procedures which may include public restrooms, lobby area, vending areas, pool/fitness center, etc. Includes cleaning employee break areas and restrooms. Sweep and vacuum carpets.
- Collect trash from throughout the property. Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
- Participate in special cleaning programs as directed.
- Vacuum hallways (public areas).
- Keep bar and lobby clean.
- Clean and polish all furniture, railings, table tops, and mirrors in assigned areas.
- Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Report, turn in any lost and found items according to established procedures
- Responsible for cleaning of their area as per the schedule given to them.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Stand and walk frequently throughout the workday
- Lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
