Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, logic controllers, and schematics, as well as the ability to supervise maintenance staff effectively. The Hotel Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our guests by maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. The job would be in the Geneseo and Mt Morris areas

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hotel facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
• Fabricate and install components as necessary for repairs or improvements.
• Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the hotel.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, logic controllers, and schematics.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform residential painting tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
