Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; utilize hand tools, electrical testing devices like ohmmeters, and welding equipment as needed.
- Conduct electrical work including wiring repairs, circuit troubleshooting, and installation of electrical components in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain facilities equipment such as elevators, boilers, pumps, and HVAC units by diagnosing problems and executing repairs efficiently.
- Execute carpentry tasks including maintenance painting, drywall repairs, door adjustments, and other building interior maintenance activities.
- Support plumbing system maintenance by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper drainage and water flow.
- Lead or assist with facilities maintenance projects while adhering to safety protocols; document all work performed accurately in logs and reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building systems repair within a hospitality or commercial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC system repair, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, welding techniques, and carpentry skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance painting techniques and residential painting is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer service-oriented mindset to address guest or staff concerns promptly.
- Effective communication skills in English; ability to read schematics and technical instructions clearly.
- Leadership qualities that enable you to coordinate tasks independently or as part of a team when needed.
