Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, assembling, and replenishing breakfast items according to safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including wiping down tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper waste disposal
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including warmers, coffee machines, toasters, and other small appliances
• Handle food handling responsibilities with care, including portioning and serving food in accordance with dietary guidelines
• Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast service point using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable
• Support in managing weight handling tasks such as lifting trays or boxes of supplies safely and efficiently
• Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special dietary needs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy breakfast hours

Skills

• Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices within the food industry or hospitality sector
• Familiarity with food safety management and sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on in-person interactions that create welcoming environments for guests
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing portion sizes
• Experience with POS systems for processing payments smoothly
• Knowledge of wine and beverage offerings is a plus for enhancing guest experience during breakfast service
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks such as lifting trays or boxes of supplies comfortably
• Understanding of dietary considerations and food handling best practices within catering or hospitality environments

Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
