What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician / Houseman (Dual Property Position) position at Hampton Inn Dandridge?
We are currently hiring a full-time maintenance technician/houseman for both of our properties - Hampton Inn Dandridge (Exit 417, I-40) and Hampton Inn Morristown I-81 (Exit 8, I-81). This position is day shift, but you will need to be on call for unexpected emergencies that may occur during evening hours. Travel between both properties is required, so reliable transportation is a must. Weekends and holidays are required. Tools/materials provided. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Janitorial work/cleaning
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Drywall repair
- Painting
- Furniture touch ups
- Maintenance of indoor pool and spa
- Maintenance of outdoor area/exterior of hotels
- Light landscaping & pressure washing
- Keeping track of daily preventative maintenance of rooms/public area
- Researching products/parts as needed
- Coordinating outside service with vendors as needed or requested by GM or Director of Operations
- Working closely with all departments and lead Maintenance Engineer
- Great communication skills
- Attention to detail & pride in your work
- Time management & organization
We will go into more detail about the job description in the interview. Handyman/maintenance experience required. Pay is based on experience. Hotel experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Please include at least 2 previous employer references in the cover letter to be considered for this position.
