Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, including floors, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety.
• Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to facilitate efficient cleaning operations.
• Operate various cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and mops to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensure all sanitation protocols are followed in accordance with hotel housekeeping management and industry standards for hygiene and safety.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff requests related to cleanliness or maintenance issues with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Adhere to hotel emergency procedures when necessary, maintaining safety for yourself and others at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong background in industrial cleaning or hotel housekeeping management.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures in compliance with SDS guidelines.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
• Experience in hotel environment or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is advantageous.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
