Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle laundry services efficiently, including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and stairwells by performing regular janitorial tasks.
- Use cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers.
- Perform window cleaning and exterior surface maintenance to uphold the property's visual appeal.
- Follow proper chemical handling procedures to ensure safety during cleaning processes while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies while utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are well-maintained, organized, and stored correctly after use.
- Support sanitation efforts by adhering to strict hygiene standards and infection control guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding room status or maintenance needs to ensure seamless operations.
Skills
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Skilled in various cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, pressure washing, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while following proper PPE use guidelines.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, pressure washers, and laundry machines.
- Knowledge of infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Experience in custodial responsibilities related to infection prevention and sanitation protocols.
