Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning using appropriate equipment like vacuums, mops, and buffers.
- Maintain public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by ensuring they are clean, organized, and inviting.
- Follow safety procedures by understanding and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) for all chemical agents used during cleaning processes.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture or large supplies while following proper safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or amenities with excellent customer service skills.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by completing detailed reports on sanitation standards and maintenance issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of sanitation practices.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and the use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and visitors.
- Previous experience in industrial or custodial cleaning is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
