Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests. Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in housekeeping management and janitorial services within a dynamic hotel setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Perform floor care duties such as mopping and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment
- Ensure all public areas, hallways, and lobbies are tidy and well-maintained
- Follow safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to ensure guest safety and hygiene
- Report maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the management team
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service to guests
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and general housekeeping practices
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
