The Hampton Inn & Suites, Springfield is currently looking for a Guest Service Agent with an outgoing, gregarious personality who loves to connect with guests and is focused on providing every traveler the ultimate guest experience. This position requires strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced and professional environment. Possess strong computer skills and has a firm grasp of Microsoft office software. A Guest Service Agent is sales-minded and represent the hotel throughout all stages of the guest’s stay experience.
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for taking reservations, greeting and registering guests, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay.
The Guest Service Agent shift available is our 7:00am-3:00pm, shift shift. This candidate must be flexible and available to cover.
Weekends and holidays are required!
A minimum of 1 year hotel front desk experience is required!
Job description:
Immediately greeting guest and offering to assist with their needs.
Accurate and hospitable handling of guest reservation, check-in, check-out, payment, including credit card and cash handling procedures.
Prompt and friendly responses to guest requests or concerns with follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Answer telephones using appropriate and with a smile in your voice.
Supply guests with directions and information regarding the hotel, area restaurants, and local attractions.
Run daily reports, identify any special requests and check reports for accuracy.
Assign rooms according to guest request and preferences whenever possible
Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
Complete shift’s checklist.
Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
