What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Housekeeper position at Hampton Inn and Suites Portland TX?
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, common areas, and other designated areas of the hotel
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and amenities
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping management
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated time frames
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects as needed
Please note that this position may require working weekends, holidays, and/or evening shifts based on the needs of the hotel.
