Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including HVAC systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of spare parts.
- Operate specialized equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and welding tools to facilitate repairs or installations as needed.
- Diagnose issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians’ systems, and control panels to restore equipment functionality efficiently.
- Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities that minimize impact on manufacturing operations while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing facility maintenance or industrial mechanic roles with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using multimeters (ammeters), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with industrial troubleshooting techniques involving PLCs, hydraulics, low voltage wiring, high voltage safety protocols, and field service procedures.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation to address internal needs promptly.
- Relevant certifications such as industrial electrician experience or HVAC certification are preferred; military background is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication within the team.
