Responsibilities
- Operate commercial-grade dryers, washers, tunnel dryers, conveyor dryers, barrier washers, and other laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform laundry washing, bleaching, stain removal (including baking soda, hot water, cold water, and mechanical stain removal techniques), and fabric care procedures.
- Label garments accurately to ensure proper handling and tracking throughout the laundry process.
- Fold laundry items.
- Manage inventory tracking for detergents, cleaning supplies, and linen stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with cleaning work areas regularly to uphold safety standards and maintain an organized workspace.
- Push carts and operate tunnel washers or steam cleaning equipment to optimize throughput during busy periods.
- Follow machine operation safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or damage.
- Support hotel or hospitality environments by providing excellent customer service and responding promptly to guest needs related to laundry services.
Experience
- Previous experience operating commercial laundry equipment such as dryers, washers, pressing machines, or tunnel dryers is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of fabric care techniques including stain removal (baking soda, hot water, cold water), bleaching, dry cleaning processes, and laundry ironing.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems for tracking supplies and linens.
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to follow safety procedures rigorously while operating mechanical equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests or team members.
