Duties
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in coordinating daily housekeeping operations across all departments.
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning routines.
- Oversee room and public area cleaning, including floor care, dusting, sanitation, and special cleaning projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the property.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special projects or events requiring housekeeping support.
Experience
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work within hospitality or industrial settings.
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and various cleaning methods for different surfaces.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices for cleanliness and safety.
- Experience with managing inventory, scheduling staff, and training team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
