Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the seamless operation of our hospitality facility. This leadership role involves overseeing daily housekeeping activities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and managing a team of cleaning staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and custodial services, with experience in hotel or hospitality environments. Duties

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in coordinating daily housekeeping operations across all departments.
• Supervise and support housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning routines.
• Oversee room and public area cleaning, including floor care, dusting, sanitation, and special cleaning projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the property.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special projects or events requiring housekeeping support.

Experience

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work within hospitality or industrial settings.
• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and various cleaning methods for different surfaces.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices for cleanliness and safety.
• Experience with managing inventory, scheduling staff, and training team members.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness while adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
