Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems, and other building equipment
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes quickly and accurately
- Repair or replace faulty appliances, HVAC units, refrigeration systems, motors, pumps, and other mechanical components
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to facilitate repairs
- Perform construction-related tasks such as installing new equipment or upgrading existing systems to improve facility operations
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting
- Proven service technician experience with a focus on HVAC/R systems and refrigeration units
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for diagnostics and repairs
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigerants
- Skilled in electrical work related to building systems with an understanding of electrical safety standards
- Construction experience is a plus for installation or upgrade projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or lead small teams effectively
