Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily classroom activities for infants, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment aligned with developmental milestones.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in infants.
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregivers to maintain high standards of care and educational quality.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and health regulations.
- Observe individual children’s behaviors and developmental progress to tailor care plans that support their unique needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, developmental observations, incident reports, and health records.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies that encourage independence and social skills among infants.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with infants in childcare settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while providing attentive supervision of children.
- Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is valued; classroom experience is preferred.
