Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitors student behavior in the cafeteria according to school policies and procedures (refers behavior issues to the teacher or principal according to school guidelines).
- Circulates throughout the cafeteria assisting students with the flow of meal service, opening packages/milk cartons, cleaning up minor spills, recycling/trash, etc.
- Lines students up at scheduled times to return to the classroom.
- Encourages good table manners.
- Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Physically able to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed.
- Effective communication skills.
- Functional skills in reading and writing English.
- Ability to use good judgment and be dependable.
