Our team at the Hampton Inn in Front Royal, VA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility. This position is essential in ensuring that all linens, towels, and uniforms are properly washed, dried, and folded, contributing to the overall guest experience in a hospitality setting. The position is second shift from 3pm-11pm.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to clean linens and garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages.
- Assist with floor care duties as required, ensuring all areas are clean and presentable.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to ensure timely delivery of clean items to various departments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel laundry services is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of custodial practices is beneficial for maintaining overall facility cleanliness.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
