Hotel Maintenance
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel safe, comfortable, clean, and fully operational. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and building systems, responding to guest and staff maintenance requests, and helping ensure all hotel facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance (PM) throughout the hotel.
- Repair and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hotel facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, wallpaper, and mechanical issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
- Repair or replace faucets, toilets, light fixtures, switches, outlets, doors, locks, furniture, and other hotel equipment as needed.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC, water heaters, pumps, and other building systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and systems.
- Maintain swimming pool and/or other recreational equipment when applicable.
- Assist with emergency repairs and building issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area and work environment.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with management and other hotel departments regarding maintenance issues.
- Work with outside contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel, apartment, commercial building, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to respond to urgent maintenance situations.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications or licenses are a plus.
Schedule
- Full-time (Monday-Friday)
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
- May be required to respond to maintenance emergencies outside of normal working hours.
